 Amman Valley Triathlon – 7:30am - 13:00 April 15th 2018 ( Target Entries - 300 athletes)

They will cycle out of Ammanford Leisure Centre and turn left onto Margaret Street, then into Union Street and  left onto High Street. They will then take a left onto the A474 and follow that up to Garnant until they reach the mini roundabout opposite the raven Inn. They go round this and return along the A474 to Ammanford where they go round the first roundabout near Tesco’s and back along A474 before turning left into High Street, Union Street and Margaret Street and finish at the  leisure centre. Cyclists will be on the road between 7:45am – 11:30am.

Carmarthen Mayor’s Races – 10:00am May 7th  2018 ( Target Entry -   900 athletes )

The races will start on Blue Street, bear left onto Lammas Street, right onto Mansel Street, through shopping centre and left onto Chapel Street, Wood’s Row before turning up onto King’s Street. They will then heads down Bridge Street, onto Little Bridge Street before turning back up Quay Street and onto St Mary’s Street, down Hall Street to Guildhall Square. This is a loop they do three times for the 5k.  Road closures will be in place for Blue Street, Lammas Street and Mansel Street. The other streets are well Policed by Dyfed Powys Police and marshalls.

British Junior Series Triathlon & Junior Duathlon & Paratriathlon :- 7:00am - 20:00 May 12th 2018  ( Target Entries - 500 athletes)

 We will have a 4km loop road closure in place for these events. Section of B4304 from North Dock to Delta Lakes including the road past the sewage works to The Avenue. We will also be requesting that 200m of road closure on Traeth Ffordd be closed in front of the North Dock. The run will be along the Millennium Coastal Path.

 Llanelli Sprint Triathlon – 7:30am - 11:30am May 13th 2018   ( Target Entries - 400 athletes )

 The event is based at the North Dock in Llanelli. Cyclists will exit the North Dock and turn left onto the B4304 and then onto the A484 out towards Kidwelly. They will turnaround the 1st roundabout on the entrance to Kidwelly on the A484 and re-trace the route back to the North Dock.  Bikes will be on the course from 7:40am – 10:30am. The run section will be along the Millennium Coastal Path.

  Sospan Sizzler Middle Distance Triathlon - 6am - 1pm  July 29th 2018 (Target Entries - 200 athletes)

From Burry Port Harbour cyclists will follow the B4311 and join the A484 in Pembrey. Turn Right onto the B4317. They will then turn right onto the B4308 and then left onto Lon Ffos-Las. Left then onto B4317 to Pontiets. Left onto the B4309 and follow this all the way to Idole and turn left onto the A484. Follow the A484 all the way back to Burry Port and then by Tanycoes on Pwll Road take the 2nd exit onto the B4311 back to Burry Port Harbour.   It's a 28 mile loop.

RNLI Burry Port  Triathlon – 7:00am - 13:00 August 26th 2018 (Target Entries - 300 athletes)

 This event is based at Burry Port Harbour. Cyclists will turn left and head out through Pembrey on Ashburnham Rd, Randell Square and up to the  A484 where they head out to the lower roundabout in Kidwelly. They then return along the A484 before turning down the B4311 towards Burry Port Harbour. They will cycle this loop twice.

 Carmarthen Sprint Triathlon - 7:30am - 13:00 October 7th 2018 (Target Entry - 250 athletes)

•             Cyclists will turn left out of QE High School and head all the way down to Llanstephan beach car park.

•             On the run they will use the pathway along the Tywi river into Town. Run up passed Tywi Works, turn right over the bridge, right again towards the railway station before returning onto the path and back towards Carmarthen Leisure Ctr.

 The cyclists in all the Triathlons have to abide by the rules of the highway code. These routes are marshalled and key point will have Police present if they are available. They will also be clearly signed with Large yellow fluorescent arrow signs which are put in place on the Saturday and removed after the event on Sunday. I have attached the Risk Assessments which are submitted to the British Triathlon Federation who have sanctioned all events.
